The sparkling blue waves, a white-sand shore, and the most gorgeous-hued sunsets are just some of the things we love about shooting engagements at the beach. Getting the opportunity to photograph at the beach is always exciting for us, and seeing our couples so happy and relaxed in that environment certainly turns that up a notch. We got a chance to experience this again when Sarah and Greg decided to have their engagement session done at a private beach club in Santa Monica that the groom-to-be is a member of. We had so much fun working with Sarah and Greg, and as we encourage most of our couples to do, we loved how they chose a location that meant something to them.

The beach club has many memories for Sarah and Greg as they often drive down to the beach club for sunsets and time together with family & friends. We thought this location was perfect for Sarah and Greg’s photo shoot as it completely aligned with our couple’s personality and their beautiful story.
Sarah and Greg are wonderful and one of the sweetest couples we’ve met and worked with! They first met each other while working for The Painted Turtle, a non-profit medical specialty camp for children with various chronic illnesses. Their hearts are pure gold, and their beautiful smiles even match each other. It was such a joy to see how comfortable these two were with each other. There was not a single moment where their chemistry didn’t shine through.
We are suckers for couples who spend some time planning their engagement session outfits. And for their photo shoot, Greg and Sarah had coordinated their attire. We loved their casual and trendy look. They even brought a second outfit with them! And their choices were perfect! They even complemented the natural setting we were in.
We loved how Sarah and Greg looked at each other and how natural they were in front of the camera too. We took a mix of candids and posed photographs and, in both cases, got exactly what we had imagined for our couple. With laid-back vibes, natural beauty, and the most incredible golden hour, the beach was just perfect for this session.
