Beanie & Martin | Moorten’s Botanical Garden Engagement Session
We are big fans of engagement sessions for multiple reasons. But the one thing we especially love about engagement sessions is learning more about our couple and their dynamics. Engagement photo shoots are a perfect way for us to get to know you better and for you to get to know us better too. Plus, you also get to spend the day with your partner (and us!), doing what you love! And if you are someone who doesn’t particularly like being in front of the camera, an engagement session could be like practicing for the wedding! And Beanie and Martin’s shoot was all about everyone getting to know each other, and of course, lots of romantic portraits.
Moorten’s Botanical Garden Engagement Photo Shoot
Beanie and Martin are from the big state of Texas. They are such sweethearts and truly made for each other. We photographed their engagement session a few months before their wedding when they were in town, finishing up wedding planning details with a boutique destination wedding and event planning firm, COJ events. Most of our clients are not local to Palm Springs, and yet we always manage to coordinate perfectly and find time for a fun engagement session together. We just love how our couples put in all the efforts to get photographed by us. It’s such an honor!
In our opinion, Palm Springs is perfect for engagement sessions, especially when it comes to backdrops! Every corner you turn to is a perfect photo shoot location, and Moorten’s Botanical Garden is one of our favorite spots to photograph in. It is located at the southern end of Palm Canyon Drive and has rare plants from around the world on display. And guess what? If you really like the place, you could even host an intimate wedding here. Its tranquil atmosphere with a swanky desert vibe, the exotic plants, and the iconic greenhouse with varieties of ornamental cacti make every inch of this place photo-worthy. And when your couple is as photogenic as Beanie and Martin, gorgeous couples portraits are assured!
Beanie and Martin turned out to be super photogenic, and we loved how we could capture the energy and love between them through the pictures. They gave us their best poses and just focused on loving and making each other laugh. Their outfits were on point, too, and blended so organically with our location. Another plus point of Moorten’s Botanical Garden is the lighting! Thankfully, the weather was on our side, and we could do exactly what we had planned together.
