Sarah & Matt’s Joshua Tree National Park Engagement
Deciding what to wear for your engagement session can sometimes be quite a struggle. Lots of planning, purchasing, and returning can go into finalizing that perfect look. But once you figure it out, the magic (and hard work) shows in your engagement photos! Sarah and Matt also paid a lot of attention to detail when they planned their engagement session looks. We were so impressed by their fashion (and commitment to the shoot!) They really thought about every little thing to coordinate their look for their engagement session at the Joshua Tree National Park.

Sarah and Matt’s engagement session looks reaffirmed our belief that one well-thought-out look is better than two random looks thrown in together. They dressed up as a country couple and even brought the customized cowboy hats they bought on one of their many adventures in Aspen, Colorado.
Photographing our couple at the Joshua Tree National Park was a real treat! It’s such a great location with beauty on all sides. The desert landscape (one of our favorites!), palm trees, and giant golden rocks made for such picturesque backdrops for the photos.
Before their session with us, Sarah and Matt grabbed drinks at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneer Town. However, they told us that since they had an awkward experience being photographed before, they were still very nervous about the engagement session with us. But if you know us, you already know that we take our responsibility towards making our couples feel comfortable very seriously. So, throughout the session, we tried our best to help Sarah and Matt relax and just be themselves. And then, at the end of our shoot, they told us that they had way more fun than they had anticipated, and for us, there’s no bigger testimonial!
