Lea and Bob’s story is a classic example of the role timing plays in two people coming together. We have always believed that it’s never too late to fall in love or to get married. Every couple we meet has a unique journey that is worth telling. Lea and Bob’s love story is one from the movies.
Lea and Bob share a pretty interesting story. They even got set up twice by the same person, which was Lea’s assistant. “You’d really like the colonel,” she told Lea, and “You’d really like my boss,” she told Bob. However, when they eventually met, the timing didn’t work out as he was stationed in Belgium soon after. But this wasn’t the end for them. Years after their first encounter, the same assistant told Lea that “the colonel’s back in town.” The two took this chance to reconnect, and well, the rest is history. Clearly, the right timing is just as important as the right person.
Lea and Bob are quite special to us, these two were surrounded by an amazing village of incredible people on their wedding day. We will always remember it as one of the most heartwarming events we have ever been a part of. There was so much love, laughter, and support in the air, and there were just endless good vibes all around.
Lea and Bob loved Parker Palm Springs as the setting for their wedding. The Parker is an iconic Palm Springs wedding venue with photo ops around every bend for their couple portraits. The greenery and the colorful florals added a natural vibrance to the photos. You can even catch a glimpse of the famous Palm Springs palm trees in some of the photographs!
Living between Texas and Louisiana, Lea and Bob’s was a destination wedding, and the best part was that all of their guests still came from out of the state to support and celebrate them on their special day. A testament to the depth of relationship that they shared with their guest. We were not kidding when we said there was so much love in the air!
I loved watching the ring bearer convince Bob, his grandpa, to cut him a slice of cake before the rest of the guests were served. And, of course, Bob couldn’t say no. Perks of being a ring bearer and being related to the groom!
