Hadley and Mike’s Wedding at the Stone Eagle Golf Club

Photographing weddings in the desert is always a treat for us. The beautiful scenery, the glorious sunset, a pop of color from the florals and decor, a lively party that dances into the night – there’s so much beauty to photograph, and Stone Eagle is no exception. As photographers, Nate and I thoroughly enjoy desert weddings.

One of the most memorable weddings we shot in the desert was Hadley and Mike’s. The gorgeous couple had put so much thought into each element of the wedding that we just couldn’t stop taking photos. Everything was so immaculately planned and presented. It was one of those weddings where no matter where we looked, there was something to photograph. From the unique venue to the delicate decor, everything emanated beauty.

As wedding photographers, we find joy in learning the story behind our couples. How they met, who they are as individuals, what are they looking forward to as husband and wife, and the likes. We found out that Hadley likes to run for fun, and Mike most likely runs for Hadley. It’s definitely one of the most romantic (and healthy) gestures we have heard of.

Hadley and Mike’s Palm Desert Wedding

Before they got married, the couple dated for a long time. So when everyone did come together for the wedding, the families felt so connected to one another. It wasn’t just warmth and the beautiful glow of the desert in the air, but there was a lot of love too. Even though they are the stars of the wedding, we have always felt that weddings are not just about the bride and groom. The people they share this special day with matter too! The celebration of their union was simply electric. Everybody was in such great spirits, and Hadley and Mike were surrounded by pure love and joy.

One of our favorite moments at any wedding is when the dance floor is opened for the guests. At Hadley and Mike’s wedding, once the father-daughter and mother-son dances were done, the guests really went wild on the dance floor as they grooved to Dart Collective‘s live music. And this is usually when we get some of the most amazing shots from the evening. People just let go, and seeing everyone in their natural element, just having fun and dancing freely, is always such a luxury to photograph. Buddy also showed off some really fancy moves that we were able to catch on camera. The grandparents joining the party on the dance floor was the highlight of the night!

We enjoyed ourselves as if we were one of your guests and were honored to be able to tell your story so beautifully.
